When was the last time you step outside of your comfort zone? If it takes you awhile to answer this question, then this is your wake-up call. Having a comfort zone is okay, but it could stop you from the job you want someday. Here are some 3 simple tips to help you get outside of your comfort zone!
1. DO NOT GIVE UP
What is something that you have always wanted to try at work but were to scared to do it or told yourself that someone else would do it? Go back to that idea or thought and write it out/talk about with someone you trust. By telling someone it will help keep you accountable so that you will do it. Write down what you want to accomplish and how it will help the business grow. Once you have this written down and have key actions steps, schedule a meeting with your boss to discus it. Be prepared to give the pros and cons.
2. LISTEN TO PODCASTS
Podcasts give another preservative that we are more than likely lacking. Listening to podcasts helps shift my mind to think differently and has had a positive impact on how I live my everyday life.
Here is a list of podcasts that have helped me realize some areas that I need to grow in so that I can get better at my job, even though I am not the boss or leader. These help push me outside my comfort zone and have helped develop me.

3. DREAM
We all have that one thing we would like to change about our workplace or even our job. However, not many of us set out to make sure that change happens. I want to encourage you to improve one thing about your workplace. One thing that would increase you are your coworkers productivity at work. Go home, research, plan, and execute your dream to your boss. It may or may not happen, but if you bring your best and come prepared. Your boss will remember that and will admire your out of the box thinking. So what is your one work dream that you want to come true?
All three of these tips can help you take the step you need to get outside of your comfort zone and help you achieve the growth needed for your dream job!
